Fallen tree causing disruption

Fallen tree causing disruption

weather warning*

Officers are in attendance to a tree that has come down on Princes Street, causing severe damage to several vehicles.

We have blocked a section of the road, beside the Vulcan Pub, whilst we await Highways to come and make the area safe.

Please avoid walking along this stretch of the road for the time being.

It would be worth considering where you park whilst the weather warning is in place. Trees, loose fence panels and walls all may be affected in high winds, causing damage to vehicles or a danger to yourself.

Many thanks
